Why did you choose to attend South Texas College of Law Houston?
I wanted to stay in Houston and was drawn to STCL Houston’s strong sense of community. My father is an alumnus, and I grew up engaged with the State Bar of Texas Corporate Counsel Section, which made the law school feel like home.
Where are you working this summer and what other legal opportunities have you participated in?
I’ll be working at Huntsman Corporation as a summer legal intern. I’m excited for the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in corporate law and further develop my legal research and writing skills in a professional, in-house setting.
For several years, I’ve volunteered on the Technology and Social Media Committee of the State Bar of Texas Corporate Counsel Section and learned about the opportunity through one of the section’s officers.
I also volunteered at the Lone Star Legal Aid office over spring break, where I assisted with preparing documents for pro se divorces, helped execute estate planning (including serving as a witness for a will execution), conducted legal research, and participated in outreach programs. This enlightening experience gave me valuable insight into pro bono work.
How did the Career Resource Center (CRC) help you successfully navigate the recruitment process?

The CRC helped me polish my resume and gain confidence through mock interviews and one-on-one advising.
What are your career goals for the future?
I am interested in practicing corporate law, with a focus on either contracts or intellectual property. While I am still exploring specific areas of interest, I am drawn to the strategic and transactional aspects of corporate practice.
What advice would you give future law students going through recruitment?
Use every resource available — Langdell sessions, outline banks, and CRC workshops all make a difference.
Which professors have most influenced you and your career path?
Professor Rempell and Professor Nelson were exceptional at making challenging material approachable. They continued to be supportive even after the semester ended, offering feedback on finals and helping me understand how to improve.
What student organizations have you been involved with?
I am a member of the Oil and Gas law Society and Federalist Society.
How has the South Texas Law community supported your growth?
Langdell sessions and campus programming have been instrumental in reinforcing material and building a supportive network.
What is something unique about you that we can’t learn from your resume?
I am passionate about art, painting, and film. In high school, I studied animation and led the graphic design department. This experience continues to influence how I approach legal issues, often bringing a creative and visual perspective to problem-solving.
