Your Experience at STCL Houston
Experiential Education
Nationally-ranked experiential learning opportunities mean students are prepared to practice law. Many students earn prestigious internships while in school and clerkships upon graduation. Students compete in moot and mock trial, legal brief writing, and alternate dispute resolution competitions and serve in a network of 23 campus legal clinics.
Student Organizations
South Texas’s nearly 1,000 students have the opportunity to lead on campus through 29-plus clubs and student organizations, through multiple student-led journals including the South Texas Law Review, and through engagement as Langdell Scholars, DEI Fellows, Advocacy Fellows, and Presidential Fellows.
Academic Success
The closely connected South Texas community includes support for student success from the first (1L) year through bar prep after graduation. Strong student support is a key component of the South Texas culture, and it aligns with the mission of providing an exceptional legal education.
How to Apply

Take the Law School Admission Test (LSAT) or Graduate Record Examination (GRE) and then register with the Credential Assembly Service (CAS).

Submit a completed application along with a resume, personal statement, at least two letters of recommendation, and application fee (if applicable).

Once your file is completed, the Admissions Committee will review each applicant for consideration. All decisions are final and will be disseminated electronically.
