“The Trailblazers” – South Texas College of Law Houston

During Black History Month 2024, South Texas Law celebrates the achievements of Black individuals and recognizes their central role in U.S. history. The month began as a week and was the brainchild of noted historian Carter G. Woodson and other prominent African Americans. Since 1976, every U.S. president has officially designated February as Black History Month. Check back on this page for special features highlighting individuals from the South Texas Law community as well as national Black trailblazers in the legal profession.
