Parking Information
Parking is available at and near South Texas College of Law Houston. Options include:
- The South Texas College of Law Houston Faculty and Staff Lot at 1351 Caroline. Please email Katherine Vukadin at kvukadin@stcl.edu with the subject line “Parking” and state that you would like to park in our lot. Parking is free, but capacity is limited. When you arrive, please hit the call button and state your name.
- Other parking lots are available downtown, as indicated on this map. Please click here for prices and hours—these can change rapidly, so observe all signs and be aware of closing times.
Arriving by Air: Houston Airports
Houston has two major airports:
- George Bush Intercontinental Airport (IAH): 20 miles north of downtown Houston.
- William P. Hobby Airport (HOU): 10 miles south of downtown Houston.
Both airports offer a range of domestic and international flights.
From George Bush Intercontinental Airport (IAH) to Downtown
- Travel from IAH to downtown by car or rideshare. The trip takes about 45 minutes, depending on traffic. The METRO Downtown Direct shuttle takes passengers from IAH to the George R. Brown Convention Center, just a few blocks from South Texas College of Law Houston. Click here for more information.
From William P. Hobby Airport (HOU) to Downtown
- Travel from Hobby to downtown by car or rideshare, with the trip taking about 30 minutes, depending on traffic.
Getting Around Downtown Houston
Downtown Houston is pedestrian-friendly, with wide sidewalks and a network of underground tunnels connecting many buildings.
- METRORail: The law school is located near the Central Station and Bell Station stops.
- Taxi and Rideshare: Taxis and rideshare vehicles are plentiful in downtown Houston.
