No, externships are not required for graduation. However, experiential learning is a graduation requirement, and an externship will count toward satisfying that requirement. Other qualifying options include legal clinics and approved simulation courses. Please note that if you began law school in Fall 2025 or later, one of your experiential learning course must a “direct service” clinic or externship.
