JoTaylor Callaway |

Howdy, STCL Family. My name is JoTaylor Callaway, and I am running for Student Body President. Here’s why voting for me is the right call. Community isn’t built overnight—it’s nurtured through consistent effort, active listening, and ensuring that every voice is heard. Two years ago, I began my journey with SBA as a 1L representative, using my platform to forge meaningful connections with students and faculty. As Mid-Law Senator, I built on those connections. I coordinated impactful, intentional events that fostered a stronger sense of community and resulted in the highest student turnout rates that SBA has seen in decades. Now, I’m ready to step into the role of Student Body President, prepared to work diligently behind the scenes advocating to improve your law school experience. Over the past two years, I’ve consistently shown up for our community. This past year, I took on the most time-intensive SBA position—a testament to my commitment and desire to serve you. If elected as Student Body President, I promise to continue to demonstrate that dedication by always being just one call away. To stay true to that promise, here’s my number: 480-208-1374. Please don’t hesitate to reach out with any questions, concerns, or feedback on how I can best serve you as your Student Body President. I’m always just one call away. Make the right call today, and vote JoTaylor Callaway for Student Body President. |
Jacob Gadde |

I am a dedicated and driven individual with a strong passion for leadership, advocacy, and service. My journey in student leadership began when I was elected as a 1L Representative on the Student Bar Association (SBA) board, where I worked diligently to represent my peers and address student concerns at the foundational level of legal education. Building on this experience, I am now running for SBA President to further my commitment to improving student life, fostering inclusivity, and strengthening the connection between students, faculty, and the legal community. Throughout my time on the SBA board, I have developed valuable skills in leadership, communication, and problem-solving. I have collaborated with administrators and fellow students to implement initiatives that enhance professional development opportunities and create a more supportive academic environment. These experiences have solidified my belief in the power of student advocacy and the importance of ensuring that every law student’s voice is heard. In addition to my role in the SBA, I am honored to serve as a representative for the State Bar of Texas, where I engage with practicing attorneys, contribute to discussions on legal policy, and advocate for the interests of law students on a broader scale. As I continue my legal education and leadership journey, I remain committed to fostering a strong, engaged, and supportive law school community. I look forward to the opportunity to serve and make a lasting impact. Gadde Is The Way! |
Marc Wynne |

I was incredibly pleased to see that the Student Bar Association was currently seeking a President for the 2025-2026 school year. I am highly interested in serving our student body in this position and I am committed to confronting student & campus concerns with equitable solutions. One of the ways that I’ve sought equity was during my time at Houston Christian University serving as Vice President of the SGA. I served as VP in 2020, which was in the wake of COVID-19 and increasing social unrest. In response, I created an event which aimed at combating social division and allowing students to express to the faculty their pressing concerns. This event continued for the subsequent years and resulted in the campus releasing a statement addressing those student concerns on a large scale. Furthermore, one of SBA’s core foundations is community outreach. In my current role as the President of BLSA, I’ve been able to cultivate this foundation within our chapter. Some of the ways that we’ve planned to give back to Houston are through the mentorship of underprivileged youth in local schools, and in the beautification of one of the oldest black monumental cemeteries in Houston. If given the opportunity, I plan to perpetuate ways for meaningful change in our city through SBA. I would be honored to contribute to the goals of your organization! I appreciate your time and consideration. Sincerely, Marchion D. Wynne II |
Kayla Baxter |

I am honored to run for SBA Vice President, a role I am confident I can fulfill with dedication and strong leadership. Throughout my time at STCL, I’ve had the privilege of serving as Vice President of BLSA, an experience that has prepared me well for this position. In that role, along with previous leadership positions in undergrad and my work as an Admissions Office Ambassador, I have collaborated with various organizations, faculty, staff, and students, while also spearheading events, leading meetings, and managing fundraising efforts. I have organized events that brought our student body together and worked to foster an environment where students feel supported and valued. These experiences have reinforced the importance of collaboration, responsibility, and ensuring that every student’s voice is heard. I am eager to bring that same drive and leadership to the role of SBA Vice President. I understand the importance of teamwork in overcoming challenges and in building a school community where we all feel connected and empowered. I believe in clear communication and in creating meaningful opportunities for student engagement—whether through events, initiatives, or open forums. I am proud to have built a reputation as someone who listens, supports others, and follows through. I promise to continue upholding these values and to represent you with honesty and integrity. Together, we can make a difference, and I would be honored to serve as your Vice President. |
Kelli Dalati |

Hi, my name is Kelli Dalati, and I am running to be your next Vice President! As Vice President, my responsibilities would consist of organizing the annual fundraiser with the Houston Food Bank and planning the Friendsgiving social. I feel exceptionally prepared and enthusiastic to take on these responsibilities and other exciting opportunities! As a Mid-Law Senator, I collaborated with the planning and executing of all the Rooftop Socials and the Halloween Party at Austin’s Backyard. These experiences have allowed me to collaborate with diverse individuals and develop a deep understanding of matters important to our student body. I have learned how valuable it is to build relationships with the community and prioritize the needs of our peers. I aim to convey my experiences, and commitment to contribute to a vibrant social component of our academic community. I believe that a strong sense of community enhances the overall student experience and contributes to a positive academic environment. Through my involvement and leadership, I aim to foster a culture of inclusivity and camaraderie. My goals as your Vice President are to heighten the overall student experience, foster memorable experiences, and create opportunities for students to connect and network. I am excited about the opportunity to serve as your Vice President and hope to make a positive impact here at South Texas College of Law. Thank you for your consideration, and vote Kelli Dalati as VP! |
Savannah Gless |

My name is Savannah Gless and I am re-running for secretary of the Student Bar Association. For the last year, I have had the privilege of representing this organization in their role among the student body to ensure the happiness and well being of South Texas students. As a 1L, I was able to represent SBA as a 1L representative. I have loved to be able to observe the impact this organization has on our student body, but more than that, I have loved being able to contribute to it. This role has provided me the opportunity to meet new students, make great connections, and learn new organization and management skills. I am willing and ready to continue to dedicate any time, energy, and creativity to this role as well as maintain structure and organization as a whole. I see the enormous impact SBA has on the student body of South Texas College of Law Houston, and I want to continue to be a part of the organization that makes that happen. |
Hannah Little |

Howdy! My name is Hannah Little, and I am honored to be running again to serve as your Treasurer for the Student Bar Association. Over the past two years, I have thoroughly enjoyed serving as your Treasurer and as a 1L Representative in SBA. I want to continue my commitment to the South Texas community by serving in the role I love so much. Serving as your Treasurer this past year has been the greatest experience. I have enjoyed managing the SBA budget and ensuring we use our money the way the student body wants us to. I have been committed to creating a transparent and inclusive environment where students feel included in SBA activities. Additionally, I have been open to receiving feedback and learning how students want us to serve them better. I plan to continue this commitment over the next year as SBA Treasurer. With my finance background at Texas A&M University (Whoop!) and experience serving as SBA Treasurer, I will ensure that the board utilizes our funds wisely. If you vote for me as your SBA Treasurer, I will continue to use the values, skills, and procedures I have implemented over the past year to help foster an engaged South Texas community. Please feel free to visit my table and ask me any questions that you may have. I look forward to hearing from you! I am thankful for your time and vote for me, Hannah Little, for SBA Treasurer! |
Ramses Dominguez |

Serving in the SBA as both a 1L Representative and Part-Time Senator has been one of the most fulfilling aspects of my law school journey. These roles have given me firsthand experience in advocating for my peers, fostering community, and ensuring that every student—especially part-time students—feels included and represented. As a Part-Time Senator, I worked to introduce more social events tailored to part-time students, helping them engage with the broader student body despite their demanding schedules. I have also collaborated across various SBA positions to ensure that events and initiatives run smoothly and efficiently. Now, I am eager to continue serving my peers as a Senior Senator. In this role, I will be committed to maintaining SBA records and ensuring a seamless transition for future leadership. I will prioritize consistent attendance at Board of Governors meetings, recognizing the importance of active participation in decision-making. I also look forward to helping curate the digital bulletin board, highlighting the incredible accomplishments of our student body, and ensuring it is regularly updated to reflect our shared successes. Beyond governance, I am passionate about fostering community. I am excited about the opportunity to mentor Freshman Senators, guiding them as they step into leadership. Additionally, I look forward to leading the Free Exercise Club, organizing inclusive and engaging activities that promote student well-being. |
Joseph Nguyen |

Greetings South Texas Body, My name is Joseph Nguyen, and I would be honored to be considered as one of your next SBA Senior Senators. I am eager to take on this role and help SBA operate at its highest potential. Over the past two years, I have had the privilege of meeting countless individuals from all three sections. Each section brings its own unique atmosphere, diverse people, and distinct qualities. Together, we form the beautiful, completed puzzle that is the Class of 2026. If elected, my responsibilities would include running the Free Exercise Club (no pun intended), assisting Freshman Senators during Freshman Orientation, and, most importantly, selecting a class gift that represents our class. It would serve as a token of our gratitude to the school and leave a lasting mark for those who follow us. In addition, I am committed to supporting fellow board members in any way I can. Think of me as the Swiss Army Knife, the Cavalry, the 6th man off the bench of the SBA. As a wise man once said, “You must be the change you wish to see in the world.” Whether in this role or as an ordinary law student, my mission remains the same: to make a positive impact on everyone I meet. As we approach the end of our time here, I want to take a moment to appreciate the incredible community the students have built and acknowledge my excitement as we become the next generation of great lawyers. |
Kioni Rayford |

Dear Fellow Students, I am excited to run for Mid-Law Senator in the Student Bar Association! Serving as a 1L Representative this past year has been an incredible experience—I’ve had the opportunity to advocate for our class, collaborate with faculty, and, most importantly, bring our classmates together. From organizing Section A mixers to bridging the gap between students and administration, I’ve loved fostering a strong sense of community within our law school. My background in leadership, communication, and event organization uniquely positions me to excel in this role. Before law school, I honed these skills as a client advisor at Versace, where I learned how to connect with people and understand their needs. Additionally, my internship at a corporate law firm deepened my passion for advocacy and problem-solving. These experiences, along with my commitment to fostering student engagement, make me eager to continue serving you. I want 2025-2026 to be a fun and exciting year for our STCLH community. If elected, I will organize engaging events that provide a break from our rigorous studies while also offering valuable opportunities for networking and professional growth. I’ll ensure that our voices are heard in faculty discussions, advocating for the issues that matter most to our class. Get ready for more opportunities to connect, an even better Halloween party than last year, and events that make law school not just about studying, but about creating lasting memories. I’d love your support—let’s make this next year even better together! Best, Kioni Rayford |
Shanelle Shojaei |

As a first-generation lawyer and a Persian American woman raised in Houston, my journey has been shaped by a commitment to fostering inclusivity and representation, values I hope to carry into my role as an officer within South Texas’ Student Bar Association. Growing up in a predominantly white neighborhood, I often felt like an outsider, but I channeled those challenges into leadership roles, becoming Class President, Co-Captain of the Cheer Team, and excelling in Business People of America and theater. These formative experiences taught me the importance of embracing differences and creating spaces where diverse voices are heard and valued. My time as the first Middle Eastern cheerleader for the Houston Astros further reinforced this commitment. Over five years with the team, I not only had the privilege of representing my culture but also earned Employee of the Month each year, highlighting my dedication to teamwork and excellence. This role taught me how to break down barriers and forge opportunities, lessons that are crucial as I navigate the legal field and its spaces. I am eager to bring these experiences and values into the SBA to help ensure that all students—especially those from marginalized backgrounds—feel supported and empowered. As an officer, I would advocate for diversity, equity, and inclusion while fostering a collaborative environment that encourages every student to thrive. I am passionate about making a lasting impact on our law school community and believe this role will provide the perfect platform to do so. |
Jay Ozyp |

My name is Jay Ozyp and I am running for the Freshman Senator position for the Student Bar Association at South Texas College of Law Houston. I believe that my commitment to cultivating an engaged and inclusive student body qualifies me for the position as well as my experience I have gained as a 1L representative. During my time as a 1L representative, I have had the privilege of engaging with my fellow classmates to organize around shared goals. I consider myself an extroverted individual who is perennially open to speaking with others and building new relationships and I believe that aligns well with the duties and responsibilities of the Freshman Senator position. I am running for the position because I want to expand my network within my peers as well as gain valuable experience working with fellow Student Bar Association members to accomplish objectives on behalf of ourselves and our peers. I believe working with others is at the top of the list of gratifying experiences and I intend on doing that in the Student Bar Association for the entirety of my time in law school. |
Matthew Pappas |

I’m Matthew Pappas, and I’m running for Freshman Senator because I genuinely want to make our law school experience as fun, inclusive, and engaging as possible. I’m a social person who loves meeting new people, and I want to make sure everyone feels connected and involved, whether it’s at events or just being a friendly face anyone can talk to around school. Law school is a big transition, but we’re all in this together. I hope I can use my experience from my 1L year to help guide the incoming 1L’s and make them feel included and their voices heard! |
Rene Jaikaran |

I am running for Part-Time Senator because I understand the unique challenges of our part-time community. Many of us work full time, and have other obligations whether it be a spouse, kids, or both. As a result, many of us aren’t on campus until 5pm and that is just for the in-person folks! We also have our part-time/online cohort to consider who I am sure can feel quite disconnected from the campus community. This is where I come in! I am an older student, married, with kids, and a demanding full time job. I feel that I am relatable to our part-time community and understand the sacrifices and constant juggling act we endure on a daily basis. My goal as Part-Time senator will be to help enhance your law school experience regardless of whether you attend class in person or online. Vote for Rene! Part-Time Student, Full-Time Commitment. |
Paul Patrisso |

My name is Paul J. Patrisso, and I am running for Part-Time Senator because I am deeply committed to enhancing the experience for our part-time students at South Texas College of Law. I believe our part-time program is an integral part of the school’s strength and diversity, and I want to ensure that part-time students are fully engaged and connected to the many opportunities available at STCL. Having served as a 1L part-time representative, I’ve had the privilege of being a voice for my classmates, and I have seen firsthand how important it is to advocate for the unique needs of our cohort. I’ve enjoyed the opportunity to represent our concerns and work with administration to improve our experience at STCL. As Part-Time Senator, I will continue to prioritize increasing opportunities for involvement, ensuring our voices are heard, and fostering a greater sense of community within the part-time program. I believe that by promoting communication and creating more avenues for engagement, we can all benefit from the rich academic and extracurricular opportunities that STCL offers. I would be honored to continue serving my fellow classmates in the upcoming academic year, and I ask for your support in making this vision a reality. Thank you for considering my candidacy. |
Sandra Wright |

As a dedicated part-time student at South Texas College of Law, I understand the challenges of balancing academics, work, and personal responsibilities. These experiences have shown me the need for greater inclusivity, engagement, and tailored resources for part-time students. If elected Part-Time Senator, I will work to bridge the gap between part-time students and the broader law school community. My priorities include advocating for equal access to academic resources, professional development, and social events. Part-time students should not just participate but be fully integrated into law school life through flexible event scheduling, expanded academic support, and networking opportunities that align with our unique career paths. I will take a collaborative, transparent, and proactive approach, working with faculty, administration, and student representatives to ensure part-time students are valued and heard. I also plan to establish regular forums where part-time students can voice concerns, propose solutions, and contribute to decisions that shape our experience. Leadership is about action, not just advocacy. By fostering communication andbuilding strong relationships withkey stakeholders, I will ensureour needs areprioritized. I am passionateabout creating an inclusive and engaged student bodyand would be honored to represent you asPart-Time Senator.Together,we can build a law schoolcommunitythat truly supportsall students. Jasmine Crabtree |

I’m excited to run for the ABA Law Student Division Representative position because I want to get more involved with our student body and take on a leadership role during my time at South Texas. Attending this year’s ABA’s Judicial Clerkship Program and Midyear Meeting really opened my eyes to how much the ABA does for the legal profession—from students, to attorneys, judges, and other legal professionals. At these events, I had the opportunity to hear more about the ABA’s commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion, and it inspired me to carry this commitment and other ABA goals and initiatives on our campus. I aim to boost student engagement with the ABA, particularly by encouraging sign-ups for the free membership program, which offers valuable resources and benefits that can significantly enhance our law school experience. As your representative, I’ll work to connect our student community more closely with the ABA, ensuring that our voices are heard, and our needs are addressed. My goal is to contribute meaningfully to our school’s community and enhance every student’s journey through law school. By voting for me, you’re supporting a candidate dedicated to making a positive impact and ensuring we all benefit from the full range of opportunities the ABA has to offer. |

I am running for ABA Representative because I’m passionate about supporting my fellow students and continuing my mom’s legacy at this law school—she also attended here. This role offers an exciting opportunity to make a real impact, and I am eager to use it to build a stronger connection between our student body and the ABA Law Student Division. In this role, I’d focus on encouraging greater participation in the ABA. Throughout the semester, I can personally speak with students about the benefits of joining, making sure they understand the value of being a part of the organization. I will strive to make sure these events would provide a welcoming space for students to ask questions and get involved. Additionally, I have experience in creating and displaying promotional materials for organizations, which will assist in promoting ABA events and programs. Clear communication is essential, and I would ensure that I am present at Board meetings to stay updated on key topics. I’d act as a voice for the students, taking their feedback and concerns to faculty while keeping students informed about any important decisions or initiatives from the faculty’s side. |
Peyton McDonell |

I believe that I will be able to grow our school’s relationship with the American Bar Association. As a dedicated 1L SBA Representative at South Texas College of Law Houston, I have had the privilege of representing my peers and working toward fostering a strong, supportive community during my first year. I am now eager to apply to take on the role of ABA Law Student Division Representative, where I can continue my commitment to service and student engagement while fulfilling the responsibilities outlined in the Constitution. Beyond these constitutional duties, I am committed to promoting the ABA Law Student Division through marketing efforts, membership-tabling events, and assisting fellow students with any membership-related inquiries. I intend to work diligently to encourage student participation in the ABA, fostering an inclusive and engaged legal community. Additionally, I will assist in creating promotional materials to enhance awareness of ABA opportunities and benefits. At my core, I have a strong sense of service and view this role as a meaningful opportunity to give back to the STCL student body, faculty, and the broader legal community. Through hosting ABA-related events, I aim to bring students together, strengthen our law school network, and enhance professional development opportunities for my peers. I am eager to continue representing the student body and see this role as an exciting chance to do so with the added benefit of being involved with the Bar Association. |

I hope to maintain honest and open communication with the student body as we engage in our law school journey. As a State Bar of Texas Representative, I hope to arrange events that encourage clarity of the law profession and give insight to the challenges of the Bar that we will face in upcoming years. Hey y’all! My name is Alexandra (Allie) Rather, and I’m excited to run for State Bar of Texas Law Student Division Representative. I’m from East Texas, a proud Texas A&M graduate, and now a first-year student at South Texas College of Law. Coming from a small town, I’ve always valued community and connection. Now, I want to extend that commitment to the entire school. As your representative, I will ensure you’re familiar with the State Bar of Texas and help you take full advantage of the numerous resources and networking opportunities available.
