Fellow South Texas Law Alumni,
It is my great honor to serve as your 2025-27 Law Alumni Association president. I graduated from South Texas Law in 2012, and since my very first day as an alumnus, I have tried to pay back everything the law school has given me. What makes our school great is that there are so many others in our alumni community who also give back.
Alumni come back to coach advocacy and dispute resolution teams, serve in the Randall O. Sorrels Legal Clinics, serve as mentors to law students, network with other alumni, teach as adjunct professors, connect with the Career Resource Center and hire graduates, volunteer for panel discussions, and participate in events and activities that encourage the next generation of attorneys.
We have a simple mission statement that guides our efforts:
- Engage and develop our law students.
- Support and uplift our alumni.
- Advance and promote our law school.
We have exciting projects already underway: bolstering our wellness and mental health programs for both students and alumni; providing free continuing legal education to all alumni; providing more opportunities to shine a light on our alumni; and raising funds to support our graduates.

If you are interested in getting involved, the first step is to join one of our three committees: Student Engagement Committee, Alumni Affinity Committee, or Communications Committee. The alumni team at the law school is ready to help you get involved in whatever way is most meaningful to you.

Our Mission
