Exchange Programs

Recognizing the value of an international component to legal education, the International Programs Office — led by Professor of Law Katerina Lewinbuk — is opening doors for students from South Texas Law and students from law schools in other nations to have exposure to different legal systems, an introduction to the cultures of other nations and languages, and the opportunity to make connections that often lead to lifelong friends and career referrals.

Bringing students to campus. This past year, students came to campus from Aarhus University in Denmark and from Charles University in Prague, Czech Republic, and discussions are underway to invite students from more global locations to study law for a semester in downtown Houston, Texas.

Sending South Texas Law students around the world. South Texas Law students have had life-changing, memorable experiences studying for a semester at Charles University in Prague. As this program expands, more locations are expected to be added for this unique experience to gain perspective on legal education in other nations.
