STCL Houston to host third annual Energy Law Negotiation Competition
The Frank Evans Center for Conflict Resolution and the Harry L. Reed Oil & Gas Institute will host the law school’s third annual Energy Law Negotiation Competition on Saturday, March 25. Last year’s competition was an enormous success, with 44 law students from 13 law schools around the country. This year’s competition will again host 44 students from Southern Methodist University, University of Houston, Texas Southern University, Texas A&M University, St. Mary’s University, Ole Miss, Tulane, Creighton, University of Oklahoma, University of Georgia, William & Mary, Brooklyn Law School, and the University of Wyoming.
The competition provides law students with a unique opportunity to sharpen their negotiation skills in the energy law field. For students specifically interested in pursuing a career in energy law, this will be an invaluable opportunity for them to network with local attorneys at a reception generously sponsored by Haynes & Boone and Gray, Reed, & McGraw.
