Managing the Job-Search & the Texas Employment Landscape

Join the CRC as they welcome Anne Heaviside to campus to discuss current employment trends and the legal job market for students set to graduate in the coming year! In addition to a broad look at the employment landscape, Ms. Heaviside will discuss strategies for salary negotiation, advice for developing professional relationships through networking, and ways to stand out to employers in a crowded market.
- About the Speaker: Anne Heaviside is a Managing Director in the Houston office of Engle, Lindsley & Regan (ELR). Anne specializes in recruiting associate attorneys of all levels for a variety of practice areas for law firm clients throughout Texas. Prior to ELR, Anne was a litigation associate at McGlinchey Stafford. After 7 years of practicing law, Anne became the firm’s Talent Recruiting Director. Anne assisted with opening 6 new offices, as she established a recruiting process to create pipelines of candidates. Working as Talent Director gave her an understanding of the dynamics, operations, and strategies that firms face internally.
