Library Workshops – Texas Statutes
February 12 - February 16
These 50-minute workshops are guided, hands-on research exercises designed to improve students’ understanding of using print and electronic sources to do legal research. Students will be presented with a research assignment based on the real world of legal practice, analyze the legal issue(s) involved, and then research these issues.
Week of January 29 – Secondary Sources
Week of February 5 – Case Law
Week of February 12 – Texas Statutes
Due to space and noise considerations, each workshop is limited to eight students. All workshops will meet at the Reference Desk. Spaces are assigned on a first-come, first-served basis.
Students who attend will earn 50 free prints on your student account. If you attend all 3 workshops, you will be entered into a drawing for a private study room to use for a week during finals!
The Library Workshops will be available on D2L Brightspace. Click on “Discover” to find them, and then self-enroll.
