Modern advances in technology and communications have made the world more interconnected than ever. As a result, lawyers in every field must be prepared to work with diverse clients and to understand how international laws and regulations affect negotiations and disputes. With this in mind, South Texas College of Law Houston established the Institute for International Legal Practice and National Security in 2015.
Our faculty — comprising some of the nation’s most distinguished scholars in international economic law, national security law, and public international law — provides our students with relevant, practical education while contributing to public scholarship and discourse on matters of worldwide importance. In addition, the Institute reaches beyond its own walls to provide students with a global perspective by offering international summer internships, study-abroad programs, and research opportunities.
