Rule 520. Submission of Causes

(a) When a case has been referred to the commission, it shall be the duty of the clerk to place the case upon the trial docket of the section to which the same has been referred and to mark upon the file the number of the case shown upon such docket. Cases upon the trial docket shall be numbered consecutively in the order in which they are entered thereon.

(b) The clerk shall give notice of the setting for submission of a case at least ten days before the submission day. Such notice shall be made by mailing same to the parties or their attorneys of record.

(c) Causes in Section A shall be regularly submitted on Friday of each week, and in Section B on Thursday of each week; provided, however, that in either section cases may be set down for submission upon another day by the permission or direction of the court.

(d) Submission will not be postponed as of course, on agreement of counsel. Motions to postpone submissions shall set up the grounds for same and will be granted only when deemed adequate by the court and on such terms as the court may order.
