Please take a look at the prototype design photos of Classroom 416 below. We based much of this classroom teaching desk design upon the input we received at the faculty meeting on April 20, 2018 in 518.
We dropped the flip top idea in favor of a more traditional desk design. The desktop is almost exactly the same size as the old wooden desks.
We went with longer cables for the wired keyboard and mouse to allow for easier use on the desktop. The wireless presentation mouse is still there.
Clear playback audio is delivered from new ceiling mounted speakers. (You have to look for them to find them — they look like a ceiling tile.) Audio reinforcement via a wireless lapel microphone is built in.
Web conferencing (Skype, Zoom, etc…) is always available using the integrated Logitech web cam.
The source switch button (PC/doc cam/laptop) is now much easier to find and use.
Again, take a look at the photos below for more details and other improvements.
ITS will be happy to demonstrate the prototype design to all, but please give us a call to find a time that works for us and you.
