International Students

International students are faced with the challenge of financing a legal education because of ineligibility for federal funding. There are several lenders and nonprofit foundations that are designed to assist international students in securing funding.

Global Student Loan Corporation (GSLC)
- GSLC offers student loans for international students that do not require a US citizen or permanent resident to co-sign the loan. (A co-signer in the student's home country may be required. Often this co-signer is the student's parent or guardian.)

International Student Loan Program (ISLP) - ISLP is a loan service for international students to study at US and approved international (non-US) colleges and universities.
The Education Resources Institute (TERI) - TERI offers loans to international students in varying amount and may require a credit worthy co-signer.

Leo S. Rowe Pan American Fund - The Rowe Pan American Fund disburses money to those students from Latin American and Caribbean countries.

International Education Financial Aid - IEFA is the premier resource for financial aid, college scholarship and grant information for US and international students wishing to study abroad.

Foundation Center – Site lists company sponsored aid and scholarships, fellowships, loans, and internships that U.S. foundations offer to foreign nationals. This is a fee-based service.

Institute of International Education - The Institute administers over 200 programs serving more than 20,000 individuals each year.

Ford Foundation - Support for up to three years of formal graduate-level study leading to a masters or doctoral degree. Fellows are selected from countries in Asia Africa, the Middle East, Latin America, and Russia.
