Students provide $1 million of pro bono service annually

South Texas College of Law Houston’s students gain practical experience while providing pro bono legal services to the Houston community.

 

The Randall O. Sorrels Legal Clinics housed on the law school’s 10th floor provide students with opportunities to interview, counsel, and advise low-income clients across 19 legal practice areas. By participating in these clinics, students gain invaluable experience working alongside seasoned attorneys.

The law school’s 19 onsite legal clinics provide $1 million in legal services to Houston’s underserved populations each year, and enable students to concentrate in the legal area they are most interested:
