Dear Friends,

Let me first say on behalf of all the students at South Texas, welcome and congratulations! You have officially begun your legal career. You are now part of a proud tradition of excellent legal education that will carry you well throughout your career.

I encourage each of you, first and foremost, to get to know your Student Bar Association (SBA) and its governing board. The SBA is a wonderful resource available to help you succeed. We strive to bridge the gap between you and the faculty and administration.  During your upcoming orientation, you will be introduced to all twelve officers and have a chance to speak with them. Every officer is dedicated to helping you accomplish your goals as you tackle this trying, yet rewarding, first semester of law school.
Some of the projects coordinated by the SBA include:

• Student/Faculty Forums on various topics
  
• Community Service, Annual Food Drive and Softball Tournament
