Infectious Disease Information – COVID-19

No cases of coronavirus COVID-19 have been reported at South Texas College of Law Houston. The law school is in ongoing communication with Harris County and other local authorities to provide ongoing assessment to the South Texas community. This website is to provide updated information regarding this situation.

For the last several days, we have been monitoring closely the developments internationally, locally, and regionally.

On Wednesday, March 11, the Houston Health Department announced the first incidence of community spread of COVID-19 in the Houston region and made new recommendations intended to slow the spread of the virus.

As a precautionary measure, effective Thursday, March 12, STCL Houston has canceled all on-campus classes, and will conduct classes solely in an online format. We will re-evaluate the situation again the week of March 30 to determine when in-person classes on campus should resume.

Members of the STCL Houston community should monitor their emails and this webpage for regular updates.
