CURRENTS
is the official international trade law journal of South Texas
College of Law. It is published bi-annually by the law student
members and editors of the Journal and is received by a wide range
of subscribers, which include law schools, practitioners, private
companies and universities in the U.S. and abroad. The full text of
Currents articles are available on Westlaw and Lexis.
Currents
focuses on international trade law in its broadest sense. It addresses
issues concerning the effects of international trade agreements as
well as aspects of international business transactions, including
the sale of goods and services, licensing, investment, and dispute
settlement. Previous editions have focused on the NAFTA marketplace,
the European Union, maritime law, emerging markets and international
finance, and oil and gas transactions in Latin America. The goal of
the Journal is to present practice oriented articles and notes on
up-to-date topics. To this end, Currents welcomes unsolicited manuscripts
that emphasize practice-oriented articles on up-to-date topics and
suggestions of topics for future editions.
Currents
offers its law student members the opportunity to satisfy their substantial
writing requirement needed to graduate from South Texas College of
Law. Additionally, Currents gives members the opportunity to improve
their research and writing skills in dealing with U.S. and foreign
law sources. Finally, after one semester of membership, members are
eligible to submit their student notes for publication and run for
a position on the Currents Editorial Board.
