The Reference Services Department is staffed by ten professional law librarians. Nine of these librarians possess a Master's Degree in Library and Information Science; five of the librarians also have a law degree. Our librarians assist patrons with queries in person, by telephone, by fax, and also by email. Reference

Reference Services Desk Hours The following are normal hours of operation for the Reference Services Desk. Reference Services hours may vary during holidays, final exams, and the interim between semesters. Check the library's newsletter, Footnotes, for calendar updates.
Faxes The library charges for fax responses to inquiries. Fax charges include a $15.00 processing fee for up to 100 pages, plus $.15 per actual page. Additional processing fees are charged for each 100 pages. Confidentiality In keeping with good library practice and Texas Attorney General Open Records Decision No. 100, the library does not reveal the names of patrons who have utilized reference services or who have borrowed materials. The library must comply, however, with the U.S.A. Patriot Act regarding library records and will do so if compelled by federal agents.
