At the beginning of each semester, all current student computer accounts are given access to 400 pages of free printing to the network printers. You must have an active South Texas computer account and you must be logged in to the school network in our library to print to the network printers in Room #3010. Network printing includes ALL printing from the labs except Westlaw and Lexis printing directed to the Westlaw and Lexis stand alone printers in Room #3046. Lexis and Westlaw provide free printing to their standalone printers if you use the Print command from within their software or web site. Don't use the browser Print command or it will go to our network printers and your account will be charged. If you connect to our network with your laptop, you can print to the network printers, if you are logged in with your username. Laptop Network Printing Instructions are available at the Help Desk in Room #3011. If you use all of your free prints, you will have to use a copy card or put money on your ID using the Venda-card machine in Room #3048 or the 2nd floor copy room. All unused prints expire at the end of the semester -- no carryover or transfer is permitted. Follow these steps to print to the network printers: * Restart the lab computer you are using after you log in or before you try to print. (This will clear out the memory and help insure that the computer is connected to the Print Server.)
