- Mark W. Lambert, Special Collections & Government Documents Librarian, presented a lecture at the 2004 SWALL (Southwestern Association of Law Libraries) Annual Meeting in Houston. The lecture was part of a workshop entitled Preservation v. Devastation: Protecting Your Physical Collection from Immediate and Long Term Threats. The workshop focused on acidic paper, water damage, fires, and storms — and encouraged librarians to pursue disaster preparedness planning.
- Monica Ortale, Faculty Services & Reference Librarian, served as the Co-Chair of the Local Arrangements Committee for the 2004 Annual Conference of SWALL (Southwestern Association of Law Libraries).
- James G. Durham, Publications & Reference Librarian, was sworn as a member of the State Bar of New Mexico on April 26, 2004, in Santa Fe. In addition, he will serve this summer as Program Administrator for “The New India,” a law study abroad program sponsored by Touro College of Law and held in Delhi, Shimla, and Dharamsala, in northern India.
