Visit these sites using the library’s third floor computer lab: http://www.archives.gov/aad/, “Access to Archival Databases (AAD),” from the National Archives and Records Administration (NARA), provides online access to more than 350 databases, which were created by over 20 federal agencies. Notable databases include surveys of Civil War sites, POWs from WWII and the Korean War, Japanese-American internee files from WWII, New York ship passenger lists from the era of the Irish Famine, indexes to black-and-white and color NASA photographs, and Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) reports. Since the launch of AAD, thousands of researchers have flocked to the site.
