Rule 306c. Prematurely Filed Motions for New Trial, Appeal Bonds, Etc. (1976)

No motion for new trial or appeal bond or affidavit in lieu thereof or notice of appeal or notice of limitation of appeal shall be held ineffective because prematurely filed; but every such motion shall be deemed to have been filed on the date of but subsequent to the rendition of the judgment the motion assails, and every such appeal bond or affidavit or notice of appeal or notice of limitation of appeal shall be deemed to have been filed on the date of but subsequent to the rendition of the judgment appealed from or from the date of the overruling of motion for new trial, if such a motion is filed.

Amended by order of July 22, 1975, eff. Jan. 1, 1976: The words “or notice of limitation of appeal" are added in two places.
