Rule 271. Charge to the Jury

TEXT

Unless expressly waived by the parties, the judge shall prepare and in open court deliver a written charge to the jury. If the case is submitted on a general charge, he shall instruct the jury on the law applicable to the case. If the case is submitted on special issues, he shall submit the issues of fact to the jury.
