South Texas College of Law Names New Board Member
Justice Eva Guzman accepts 3-year term

Justice Eva Guzman, Supreme Court of TexasApril 5, 2010—The South Texas College of Law welcomes Supreme Court of Texas Justice Eva Guzman to the Board of Directors. Guzman is a 1989 graduate of South Texas, served several years on the college's Visitors Committee, and is an active director of the Alumni Association.  "I cannot overstate how honored we are to have Justice Eva Guzman join the Board of Directors," says President and Dean Donald Guter. "Justice Guzman is a highly distinguished graduate and long-time supporter of our law school, an accomplished and respected jurist, and a legal educator who has dedicated her life to service. Now, she will bring her notable energy, years of experience, and passion for South Texas to our board."  The 19-member, South Texas board meets quarterly, overseeing the direction and operation of Houston’s oldest law school.
