South Texas College of Law Wins
the Lone Star Classic Mock Trial Competition

October 18, 2010--Students from South Texas College of Law were named winners of the Lone Star Classic Mock Trial Competition in San Antonio over the weekend. The tournament involved 16 teams selected for inclusion in this invitational competition who tried a mock murder case before a panel of judges. South Texas students Catherine Crump, Brett Hill, Chance McMillan, and Jennifer Schuch defeated the team from Faulkner University School of Law in the final round. Jennifer Schuch was named best advocate of the competition and Chance McMillian was presented the award for the best direct examination. The team was coached by South Texas graduates Daniel Dutko, Sarah Mickelson, and Mike Seely. This is the 105th national competition title earned by a South Texas team.
