International Initiatives Through its International Initiatives in Dispute Resolution Programs, the Center has worked with a number of both private and public entities in a variety of cultures and countries. From purely academic courses, to practical externships to research in cutting edge issues to consultations and education, the Center has been a leader world wide in dispute resolution practice. Courses in ADR have been recently offered in Prague, Malta, Perth, and Istanbul, and the faculty has been quite involved with providing additional education and consultation in each location. Moreover, specific Externships for students have been established in the Caribbean, Central and South America. Faculty, are also involved in timely research concerning the next ‘generation’ in international dispute resolution education, considering specifically the impact of culture upon variation in learning styles and approaches. It is anticipated that the findings will lead to innovation in dispute resolution pedagogy, with broader implications for legal education generally.
