Biography
Sandra J. Carnahan is a Professor of Law at South Texas College of Law in Houston, Texas. She received her B.A. from the University of Arkansas, her J.D. from South Texas College of Law, and her LL.M in Health Law from the University of Houston. She teaches courses in health law, bioethics, and criminal procedure. Her publications include Medicare’s Coverage With Study Participation Policy: Clinical Trials Or Tribulations? 7 Yale Journal of Health Pol’y, L.& Ethics (2007), and Law, Medicine, and Wealth: Does Concierge Medicine Promote Health Care Choice, Or Is It A Barrier to Access? 17 Stanford L. & Pol’y Rev. 121 (2006). Professor Carnahan is a member of Baylor College of Medicine’s Institutional Review Board, and she is on the faculty of Rice University’s Medical Management Certificate Program for physicians. Prior to her academic career she was a Special Agent with the Federal Bureau of Investigation, and a civil litigator with a Houston law firm.
