His teaching and scholarship focus on the areas of Torts, including Constitutional Torts and Products Liability, Remedies, and Consumer Transactions. He is co-author of a casebook on tort law (Torts, Cases Problems and Exercises, 3d ed., Lexis/Nexis 2009) as well as a textbook on the same subject (Mastering Tort Law, Carolina Academic Press 2009). He is currently working with his co-authors on a book for the West Publishing “Exam Pro” series. During the 1997-98 academic year, Professor Bauman was a visiting Professor of Law at Pepperdine University. Areas of expertise: torts, remedies, and civil rights actions.
