Biography:
Dr. Fincham joined the South Texas faculty in 2010 as an assistant professor teaching Legal Research and Writing. Prior to joining the faculty, he was a Westerfield Fellow at Loyola University in Orleans where he taught Legal Research & Writing, Appellate Advocacy, and Cultural Heritage Law.
Professor Fincham maintains a scholarly blog on cultural heritage issues at: http://illicit-cultural-property.blogspot.com/ . The blog has been cited by the New York Times, Time Magazine, the Chronicle of Higher Education, and NPR affiliate KPCC. He has presented his work to international audiences, including presentations in Italy, Turkey, the United Kingdom, and the University of Chicago.
He serves as an Editor of the Journal of Art Crime, and holds a position as the Academic Director for the Association for Research into Crimes Against Art (ARCA, http://artcrime.info/ ), an international non-profit organization which researches contemporary issues in art and heritage crime.
