Chester James Taylor Writing Awards The Chester James Taylor Writing Competition was instituted by Professor Cherie O. Taylor in honor of her late father. The Competition is held once each academic year during the Spring Semester. A Grand Prize Award of $150.00 and an Award for Excellence for a Student Note of $50.00 are given to two students each year. The winners are selected by a committee of individuals who are not competing for the awards. Notes are judged on the basis of merit and excellence in writing, analysis and legal research. The Competition is only open to current Members and Editors of Currents, who may submit published or unpublished works written during the academic year of the Competition. Participants need not be graduating to make a submission. |
