At the heart of simulation advocacy courses is the belief that adults learn by doing.  Once the core legal concepts are known, the next step in preparing to enter the profession is to develop craft while applying those concepts.  Simulation Advocacy courses involve dynamic movement between analysis and experience.  Students learn to blend the theoretical with the practical as they “see, do, and reflect”.

Students can choose from a wide array of simulation courses, reflecting the range of professional options they are likely to encounter.  Some courses have a litigation orientation, some a transactional.

Among the simulation advocacy classes offered throughout the academic year, in small group settings:

  • Family Law Trial Advocacy
  • Voir Dire
  • Mediation Training
  • Interviewing and Counseling
  • Administration of Estates
  • Contract Drafting
  • Transaction Skills – Corporate
  • Transaction Skills – Real Estate
  • Transaction skills – International/Intellectual Property
