CONTROLLING MEDIA PUBLICITY
FOR A CLIENT IN CRISIS

May 9, 2007
Houston, Texas

Scroll down to view the complete schedule

Accredited by the State Bar of Texas MCLE Department for
3.0 MCLE hours of participatory and 3.0 hours of legal ethics.

Criminal defense attorney George J. Parnham believes the media is often the only way his clients can be heard.

As lead defense counsel for such high-profile clients as Andrea Yates and Clara Harris, Mr. Parnham has learned and used the unique art of controlling publicity for a client in crisis. During this program, Mr. Parnham will share how he communicates with the media in a way to not only change public perception about high-profile and complex issues (such as women's mental health in the Andrea

Yates trials), but also to achieve successful trial outcomes for his clients.

This 3-hour all ethics credit program will also feature legal media expert Miranda Sevcik, owner of Media Masters.

As a former broadcast news journalist, anchor and producer, Ms. Sevcik has worked on numerous high-profile cases advising counsel how to work with the media to present the client's side of the story.
