The Texas Rules of Professional Responsibility explain when and how much attorneys can charge for various legal services. Specifically, Rule 1.04(c) and (g) provide specific guidelines for attorneys who refer a matter to another attorney or who elect to associate with the other attorney in the representation of a single client.
This interactive session of Just Ethics is designed to help those attorneys who use contracts and engagement letters - but who might not have checked them when the Rules changed to ensure they no longer contain language that is contrary to the Rules. Attendees will receive copies of the presentation materials and the Rule.
