The Messes We Get Ourselves Into: Special Considerations in Mixed Dual Representation of Corporations, Equity Holders, Directors, and Employees
The most fundamental question in any attorney-client representation is: who is the client? In this interactive session of Just Ethics, Joseph F. Colvin, Jr. will examine this question through the lens of dual (or multiple) representation in business litigation. The presentation will not touch on legal negligence, but rather on the fiduciary duties a lawyer owes to his client and the potential implications. Unfortunately, Corporations are not “people my friend.” Nonetheless, Corporations speak through human persons – and lawyers have to carefully navigate that inherent potential conflict.
