The 28th Annual Wills and Probate Institute
Thursday and Friday, September 19-20, 2013
(Register NOW)
The 28th Annual Wills and Probate Institute is packed with important topics for probate attorneys and practitioners. Past attendees are unanimous in recommending the Institute for its outstanding speakers, comprehensive and thorough coverage of topics, and for the opportunity to obtain virtually an entire year of required continuing education hours in a single two-day program. This year's Institute provides up to 14.50 MCLE hours and includes 3.00 hours of legal ethics.
Come learn about the new Estates Code, obtain new perspectives on the discretionary distributions rules, and what is meant by “trust decanting.” Hear from experts on fiduciary litigation, creditor claims, Medicaid, and estate planning issues such as oil and gas rights and corporate entities. Get the latest on dependent administration, planning for the second marriage, and alternatives to probate. The Institute also includes numerous other important sessions: the ever-popular Case Law Update, a Legislative Update, how to cross examine psychiatrists, the steps to follow when closing down a law practice after a lawyer’s death, dealing with step-monsters and step-kids, ethical issues for probate attorneys, and how best to avoid malpractice in probate matters.
Obtain all your MCLE hours in two days or, if your schedule doesn’t permit you to be gone for two days, come for just one. Regardless of whether you come for the entire or just part of the Institute, you’ll obtain practical tools and techniques you can apply immediately to help best serve your clients.
