Instructions:

For the first class on Monday, August 19, we will consider the 
nature of contracts and the bases for the enforcement of 
obligations. Read and be prepared to discuss Ayres & Klass, STUDIES 
IN CONTRACT LAW (8th Edition), pages 1-11; 16-21; and 47-58.

We will then proceed on Wednesday, August 21, to discuss the nature 
of enforcement, the bargain theory, and consideration as a 
validating device. For this discussion, read pages 26-36 and 59-68 
of the text.
