GRANTS, SCHOLARSHIPS AND AWARDS
For academic year 2010-11, South Texas will offer approximately $3.5 million in scholarships, grants and awards. These tuition aids, which have been established by alumni, individuals, organizations and foundations, are awarded based on academic achievement, financial need or more specific criteria. Three scholarships are specifically available for new, entering students: the Dean’s Merit Scholarship, the Howard Warren Scholarship, and the Fred Parks Scholarship. A variety of other scholarships, as well as grants and awards (including state grants, plus awards and tuition waivers for participation in student organizations and academic tutorial projects) are available for continuing students.
