Board of Advocates

The Board of Advocates is a student organization comprised of talented and energetic leaders with strong communication and organizational skills. Each year, the Board hosts various competitions for South Texas law students, including the Leroy Jeffers Moot Court Competition, the Garland Walker Mock Trial Competitions, and the Spurgeon Bell Memorial Moot Court Competition. In addition to advertising, organizing and coordinating all intraschool competitions, the Board also coordinates practice rounds for the school's interscholastic teams. The Board's activities offer students a practical educational experience through competitive opportunities as well as interaction with faculty, practitioners and judges.
