South Texas College of Law is strongly committed to providing a diverse body of students the opportunity for an exceptional legal education. Our commitment to diversity is reflected in the composition of our entering classes. We are pleased to have been recognized in both Diverse: Issues in Higher Education magazine and The Hispanic Outlook in Higher Education magazine as one of the top law schools for minority students.
The Hispanic Outlook in Higher Education has placed South Texas on its Top 10 list of law schools exhibiting excellence in both Hispanic enrollment and degree completion (December 2009) and ranked it as tied for 16th in the nation for doctoral degrees conferred in law in the category of professional practice (December 2011). Based on professional doctoral degrees conferred in law, Diverse: Issues in Higher Education ranked South Texas as tied for 19th in the nation for Asian American students and as tied for 27th in the nation for all categories of minority students (March 29, 2012).
