Professor Bauman came to South Texas College of Law Houston after eight years of civil litigation practice in Los Angeles, California.  His teaching and scholarship focus on the areas of Torts, including Constitutional Torts and Products Liability, Remedies, and Consumer Transactions.  He is co-author of a casebook on tort law (Torts, Cases Problems and Exercises, 3d ed., Lexis/Nexis 2009) as well as a textbook on the same subject (Mastering Tort Law, Carolina Academic Press 2009).  He is currently working with his co-authors on a book for the West Publishing “Exam Pro” series.  During the 1997-98 academic year, Professor Bauman was a visiting Professor of Law at Pepperdine University.
